Welcome to the Glasgow Central Station page. Glasgow Central is the biggest of the two mainline train terminals in Glasgow. Outside of London, it is the busiest train station in the UK with over 34 million people traveling through it every year. Glasgow Central was first opened in 1879. It won the National Rail Awards Major Station of the Year 2005 and National Rail Awards Station of the Year 1999.
There are plenty of cheap train tickets to Glasgow Central Station. Glasgow Central Station services much of southern Glasgow and is the main terminal for train services from Glasgow to other main centres in the UK.

The main taxi rank is located on the north side of the station in Gordon Street.
There are toilets available on the main concourse of the station.
Buses are run from streets alongside the train station.
Glasgow Central does have both short-term and long-stay car parking available. The long-stay is run by NCP and can be accessed from platform 13.
